By January 31, 2025, rapper A$AP Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, is undergoing trial in Los Angeles, charged with two felony counts of assault involving a semiautomatic firearm.
The charges originate from a November 2021 incident in which he allegedly shot a gun at his former friend, Terell Ephron, also known as A$AP Relli.

Ephron testified that in the midst of an argument, Rocky brandished a gun and fired two shots, grazing his hand.

The defense argues that Rocky employed a non-lethal starter pistol to intervene in a fight and raises concerns about the absence of physical evidence at the location.

If found guilty, Rocky might be sentenced to as much as 24 years in prison. His partner, Rihanna, has been attending the trial to support him.
